Privacy Policy — Meta Tag Analyzer

Meta Tag Analyzer is a browser extension published by Black Ravine (https://blackravine.com).

What data we collect

None. Meta Tag Analyzer does not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal or usage data.

How the extension works

When you click the extension icon on a tab, it injects a read-only script into that page to read its meta tags, headings, structured data, and image attributes. This analysis happens entirely on your device, inside your browser. The results are shown in the popup and are never sent to any server.

  • No analytics or telemetry.
  • No cookies or tracking identifiers.
  • No external network requests.
  • The address of the page you analyze never leaves your browser.

The "Copy report" feature writes the analysis to your clipboard only when you click it. What you do with that text afterward is entirely up to you.

Permissions

  • activeTab — lets the extension read the current tab, and only when you explicitly open the popup.
  • scripting — lets the extension run the read-only meta-tag extractor in the active tab.

The extension requests no broad host permissions and cannot read your browsing history or pages you do not explicitly analyze.
